Colin Daniel started as presentation artist for Ogilvy advertising agency in Cape Town. He joined Independent Newspapers as editorial illustrator in 1992 and his work appeared extensively in the Cape Argus, The Star and Daily News from 1992 to 1997.
He has also freelanced abroad in London (Sunday Times) and in LA from 1997 to 2000 returning to South Africa in 2001. Today Colin's work appears in all Independent's titles countrywide.
As well as editorial cartoons, Colin has illustrated numerous books and magazine articles particularly in Personal Finance Magazine and SA Wine Magazine. He has contributed to a number of international publications, including the Australian edition of Mad magazine via.
Currently he is the resident illustrator for Independent's Personal Finance newspaper which is published countrywide in all leading broadsheets.
